Use the links to learn more about sample items.

1) Clothes appropriate to the weather
     – Nylon shorts or bathing suit*
     – Synthetic shirt*
     – Cap*
     – Watershoes*

Note: Sandals and flip flops do not provide appropriate protection around the boat ramp, nor do they provide adequate heel support in the kayak.

2) Sunglasses.
We recommend polarized lenses for folks who spend
a lot of time on the water.

3) Sunglass (or prescription eyeglass) retainer*

4) Sunscreen*

4) Drinking water*

5) Snacks or lunch

6) A fleece jacket and a paddlejacket* in a drybag*

A good idea in the summertime; should be considered mandatory during
cooler weather. A change of clothes or towel is a good idea for after the trip.
