Charleston Kayak Tours — Adventure Begins Here!
Join Sea Kayak Carolina on our day trips to great destinations. Longer than our daily tours, we’ll be on the water for 5-6 hours as we set off to visit the Morris Island Lighthouse, off-shore islands, and other great Charleston area paddling spots. We require some open water kayaking experience for these extended tours.
Our schedule page hosts a complete calendar of scheduled trips, shop classes and other paddling events.

Folly River to Bird Key / 3 hours
Join us at the Folly Landing for a fun and relaxing trip on the Folly River to Bird Key. We’ll stop on a neighboring sandbar as Bird Key is a protected seabird nesting preserve. This is a great trip for nature lovers for we often see dolphins playing or feeding along the beach.

Stono River to Kiawah / 4 hours
We’ll launch from the Sol Legare Landing and paddle down the Stono River to land on Kiawah. This paddle takes us along undeveloped salt marsh, to sandy beach and a view of the Atlantic Ocean. Sea birds, dolphin and beachcombing add to this trip’s appeal.
Morris Island Lighthouse / 6 hours
Ever wanted to kayak to the Morris Island Lighthouse? This is your chance. We’ll launch from the Folly landing and follow the Folly River to Lighthouse Creek. We’ll spend some time on the Island before riding the tide back home
Deveaux Bank / 6 hours
Launching from Cherry Point Landing, we’ll head to Deveaux Bank. Although the seabird nesting colonies there are protected and access to the island is limited, we can still enjoy the lovely views of the barrier island habitat.
Capers Island / 6 hours
Start out in the Intercoastal waterway and make a crossing through salt marsh and channels to one of South Carolina’s unspoiled barrier islands.
